Greg Robertson

Greg has over 35 years’ experience in business, encompassing turnaround and reconstruction, mergers, acquisitions and divestments, ASX listings, private equity investment, strategy, finance and law.

Greg began his career in the accounting profession, where he spent seventeen years (eight as a partner) with a global accounting firm, working for both lenders and companies on turnaround, reconstruction and insolvency projects in Australia, Asia and the UK. He then spent two years as Chief Operating Officer of an e-commerce services company.

Greg then joined an international banking group in 2002 at the establishment of its Australian private equity funds management business and spent 10 years as an executive director of those funds. In this period, three successive wholesale private equity funds were raised with commitments totalling in excess of $500 million. These funds made over 20 principal investments with the investee companies making in excess of 50 separate acquisitions.

Greg had primary or joint responsibility for ten of these principal investments. The performance of two of the investments made and managed by Greg have been recognised by the Australian Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (AVCAL) as the “Best Expansion Investment”, in 2006 and 2009 respectively.

Greg established Actuity in 2012 and undertook a number of advisory roles for private companies until Actuity helped establish Adexum Capital Limited in 2014.  Adexum managed $125 million of private equity investment funds for high net worth individuals.  Adexum made 3 principal investments and several acquisitions by the principal investees. Greg served as Chairman of the investee company Enviropacific Services Pty Limited (“EPS”) from 2014 to 2020.  The Adexum Funds were finalised in 2021-22.  Following closure of the Adexum Funds Greg continues as a non executive director of EPS.

In 2022 Greg became a non executive director ASX listed Carlton Investments Limited (ASX:CIN), a listed investment company with approximately $1 billion of investments in ASX listed companies.
